Welcome to Stinky's Art Class. We have the best students in the world. Todays lesson is how to draw shadows.
Good morning people and welcome to Stinky's Art Class where we have the best students in the world! Today's lesson is how to draw shadows.
Now, you may be thinking "hey Stinky, I make shadows all the times with my hands and, you know, you can make funny faces and all kinds of things with your hands in the dark and with light shining on it." Anyone do that? Okay, but today's lesson, we're gonna draw some shadows of people and a dog, so let's go ahead and let's draw some people here.
And you're going to draw the bodies. Okay, you following along class? These people are pleased. Let's try a dog. Okay, we got some people walking a dog down the street. Which way are they going to go? Right or left?
Okay, so we need to make some shadows of these people. How are we going to do that, class? Where's the light coming from? Have you ever asked yourself that, where's the light coming from? That's a good question. Let's think about that. Let's make the light. Okay, let's do a little street lamp right here. Whoa Stinky! What is this? The 1800's? Yeah, sometimes you just want to have fun in your art and if it's a candle, then it's a candle.
Okay, so now we've got to do some shadows. Okay, shadows are black and we start with the legs right? That looks like a good leg. The bodies and then the arms, and then the head. That looks like a shadow, a big shadow.
Okay, now the dog. Anybody want to name the dog? Oh, look at that. Sometimes it's funny to see how shadows are different shapes, right? We got this dog and we got the dog head. Shadow ears, big shadow tongue. Class, do you like those shadows?
Okay, a little more shadow and then class will be dismissed. I know this is a great one, of course. I think Stinky's running out of canvas, but it's okay. Oh, very good class. Anyone see anything else? Let's take a step back. Little shadows here.
