How to Draw an Orchid
Welcome to Stinky's Art Class. We have the best students in the world. Todays lesson is how to draw an orchid.
Good morning people and welcome to Stinky's Art Class where we have the best students in the world! Today's lesson is how to draw an orchid.
Okay, as we get started, I want to just say thank you to all my students who've been participating and working real hard. And hopefully today's lesson is going to be great. So, let's go ahead and think of our canvas. Stinky's doing this really hard flower. This has got to be one of the most difficult flowers there is.
So, let's draw the pot. Okay, that's a pretty good looking pot so far. But, let's go ahead and let's think of this, orchids kind of go limpy over here, so let's start out with this. This has got to be one of the most difficult flowers I would say. Okay, if you don't believe me, try it yourself. And then you got the stem.
Wow, Stinky don't even know if that looks like a flower. Does it? Hey, you know I just want to say thank you to the student who mentioned that failure is the first step of learning. I had a great student who mentioned that to me. Stinky felt like he was failing, but the student told me, "hey Stinky, failure is just the first step in learning." And I was like, "wow, talk about blowing your mind."
That blew Stinky's mind. It sure did. I hope this drawing blows somebody else's mind. I want to try to do a two part orchid. I think I figured out my little groove. That's kind of what they look like in it. Anyways, let's work on this pot a little bit. I think he's glad to be back. Stinky was doing all the test reviews and that was exhausting.
Okay class, this is a difficult flower to draw. I'd like to see some students attempt this one. Okay class, I hope you keep in mind to not be afraid to start. Starting's the hardest part. Okay, everybody just thinks that I want to do this, I want to do that, I want to do this, I want to do that and they never start. I think because we're all scared of failure. But, failure is going to happen. You can't get around it and if you start and you fail that's just the first step in learning.
You wouldn't believe how much pain Stinky had to go through to start this art class. To get that very first drawing of a dog. Stinky that was scary. All right, enough about me. Let's focus this class on the flower, the orchid. Keep working on your flowers. Keep working on your orchids. And I hope you have a great day. Class dismissed.
