How to Draw a Self Portrait
Welcome to Stinky's Art Class. We have the best students in the world. Todays lesson is how to draw a self portrait.
Good morning people and welcome to Stinky's Art Class! Today's lesson is how to draw a self portrait.
Okay, I thought this would be a good one for all you aspiring artists. Okay, if you go into the art museums, you're always going to see a self-portrait. All the masters always draw a self-portrait. So, Stinky's going to show you how to do that. What you want to do is you want to get a mirror. Stinky don't got a mirror, but Stinky knows what he looks like. So, Stinky just gonna go off his memory.
Stinky likes to start with the eyes, you know? Because sometimes people like to gaze into your eyes. Okay, so Stinky's gonna draw his eyes and Stinky's eyes kind of look like this. Okay, that's kind of what Stinky's eyes look like and sometimes Stinky has little red eyes.
Stinky likes to do the face next and Stinky's always wearing a hat. We like to do his hat. I think he's losing some hair. So, Stinky don't put no hair on under the hat. I think he likes to do his nose, but usually Stinky does his face first. Okay, I didn't think he does his mouth. And Stinky ain't been shaving, so Stinky likes to do his beard. You guys just gotta make yourself look good.
I think he's getting some sleep lately, looking like that. And sometimes Stinky puts his ears on. Since this is a self-portrait, you do his ears and then you want to go ahead and I think he doesn't have a neck. Stinky likes to wave at people.
Go ahead and get that beard going. That's what you gotta do. Gotta get your eyes and your face. So, once you guys get this done then you gotta think, "does that look like me?" And then you gotta make some adjustments, if you need to. It's looking pretty good. That's a pretty good self-portrait and it's not too hard to make a self-portrait.
I think it's pretty good, so go ahead and give it a shot. You'll be surprised how good it looks when you start doing a self-portrait.
