How to Draw a Fly
Welcome to Stinky's Art Class. We have the best students in the world. Todays lesson is how to draw a fly.
Good morning people and welcome to Stinky's Art Class where we have the best students in the world! Today's lesson is how to draw a fly.
Okay, let's jump right in. You know, when I started this lesson. Honestly, I thought it would be a great lesson, but I was a little bit unsure because I feel like there's a lot of pressure on me to get this fly right.
Because, you know, my name's Stinky. And Stinky makes you think of flies, but I ain't got no flies on me. Yeah, anyways. Never mind, forget that. Let's just go ahead and start with a fly. Okay a big fly. Okay, we're going to do a fly that's staring at us.
Big eyes. Never seen eyes like that before. Have you? Oh, that's an eyebrow. Okay, see what I did there, class? You're expecting a round circle and I put a square. Sometimes people would try to put you in a, you know, they try to stick you in a round hole, but you're really just a square. So don't let someone try to put you in a, you know, a round hole when you're a square.
Does that make sense, class? Because a lot of people are going to be saying, "hey, you're an artist." You need to do this. You need to do that. And they'll tell you, like, "oh, this is not the normal stuff." You're just to, you know, you're just too different of an artist. You're making stuff that's too weird. I don't understand it.
I like to be in a bubble. And some of those people that live in the bubble, they want to keep you in a bubble. But most artists I know do not live in a bubble, okay? They like to be themselves and express themselves right?
So that's like me, you know, some people be saying, "Stinky, why are you doing what you're doing? You know, stick to the trash." You know? But that's not what Stinky does.
Check this out. I want to show you a thumbs up. It's a cool fly. Do we need anything else class? Kind of. Sometimes. Let me tell you about this. It's called empty space. And white space and dark space and empty space. Negative space. See, we drew all over here. But look, it's so unbalanced. And this is so empty. It makes people uneasy, right? And that's what you want to capture in your art, you want to draw emotion and expression and creativity.
People be going. It goes back to the, you know, the round peg in a square hole, you know, or the square peg in the round hole. Sometimes it don't fit. See this empty space right here? Don't fit. But you know what? Nobody can make me draw anything right here in this empty space. People are going to have to deal with it.
And like this fly, they're going to have to deal with this fly. Nobody ever seen eyes like that before. And if someone's seen eyes like that before, please let me know because that's my problem. That always happens. Okay people, there's a lot to digest in this lesson. A lot. So keep up the good work. Thumbs up to you and I hope you enjoyed the lesson about the fly.
Okay people, have a great day. You're the best students in the world. I appreciate all your help. I appreciate you coming to class. Get me up to, you know, 300 followers. It's been great, but we're not finished yet. We gotta keep going. Students, I want to see your successful art out there. I've seen a lot of it, but I want to see more. So keep up the good work and we'll see you in the next class. Thanks class, bye.
